VAR.tv invites any New Orleans based artist working in time based visual media to submit, as long as the work has no other distribution platforms or conflict of interest. Vertical or horizontal, we don't care. VAR.tv uses it's own standalone server, no third party streaming through vimeo/youtube etc, it's just us, streaming weird stuff from this url. CATEGORIES:
Narrative— Short films — 20 minute max recommended. If you have a feature project sitting on a hard drive, lets talk!
Documentary— No time constraints.
Experimental Video art— No time constraints, but loops need to be 10 minutes or less.
Music / Performance Videos— If you are a musician or performer living in New Orleans, please send us your stuff.
Exquisite Corpse ("B-Roll" and Audio Tracks)— We will have a special segment where we mash up B Roll submissions with Audio track submissions. Audio Tracks include but are not limited to Music, Spoken word poetry, prose, stories, found city sounds etc. B-roll means we want the random weird cool footage of the city you have that has no context — send it in. Please note that B-roll featuring an individual or individuals faces needs written permission for us to use it.
Animation— Also welcome.
Other— Do you have a weird thing? We like weird.
